Handsling A1R0evo Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 R9200 provides all the performance and build quality of the A1R0evo with Shimano's flagship 12-speed groupset.

The evolved Di2 platform has been redesigned for faster shifting, better braking, and now features a wireless cockpit design. This is the ultimate Shimano equipped A1R0evo for those who accept no compromise on component quality.

The new wireless Di2 processing technology delivers 58% faster rear shifting and 45% faster front shifting compared to the current wired R9100 Di2 system. This translates into reliable, fast shifts. Further Di2 refinements include a charging port and D-FLY wireless connectivity integrated into the rear derailleur.

The groupset features a central, multi-port battery that supplies long-lasting power to both front and rear derailleurs. New smaller diameter SD300 wires connect directly from the battery to each derailleur, eliminating the need for junctions and simplifying the build process. The central internal battery also simplifies charging and remains secure over the roughest of roads.

Production

Some of our frames are joint ventures - like the TR3evo - and others we own 100% - like the A1R0evo - but in all scenarios we lead the design process and exercise control over the production process. Our frames are designed in-house, working in conjunction with our very talented and experienced engineer who turns our rough designs and crazy ideas into practical 2D , CAD 3D, and then into prototype frames. Photo shows TR3evo CAD drawing.

Production Techniques

We use the latest production techniques such as EPS internal moulds to ensure we have the highest levels of carbon compaction in our frames, making lighter, stronger and stiffer frames. The inside of the frames are therefore very well finished making cabling very easy. Photo shows a dissected A1R0evo frame with EPS internal moulds.

Our frames are rigorously tested in a two stage process involving intense and often destructive testing in the factory, followed by real world testing here in the UK. Photo shows an A1R0evo frame in factory testing.

Handsling manufacture quality products that are designed to be high performing, demonstrated by winning a couple of world titles, over 20 national championships and numerous regional championships, and yet tough enough for amateur racing and riding, where a new frame from a team car is not an option and a broken frame is a real issue. Handsling frames are all about robust quality. We decided upon this strategy after experiencing so many issues with high end frames being damaged in minor collisions. Brands' constant striving for lightweight leading to the use of ridiculously thin, brittle carbon ill-suited to all but pro riders with an endless supply of frames.
