Conor White: PanAm Champion and New Jakroo‑Handsling Rider
Fresh from winning gold in the men’s scratch race at the 2026 Pan American Games, Bermudan rider Conor White is heading into the new season with momentum - and with a new team, Jakroo‑Handsling, backed by the bike that carried him to his biggest result yet: the Handsling TR2evoP.
From Bermuda to the World Stage
Born in Bermuda in 1999, White grew up on two wheels. He raced mountain bikes as a teenager before moving into the island’s junior road programme at 16. Bermuda’s cycling scene may be small, but it’s vibrant, and it gave him the foundation to step onto the international stage in 2017, where he immediately made an impression with bronze in the junior ITT.

Since then, he’s raced in around 30 countries, absorbing cultures, climates, and courses. “It’s amazing being able to visit so many places I may never have seen if it wasn’t for cycling,” he says.
Life as a UK‑Based Rider
White is now entering his second season racing in the UK - a scene he describes as relentlessly hard but hugely rewarding. “There’s almost never an easy race here,” he laughs. “You’re always pressing on. I quite enjoy that.”
A Breakthrough in Santiago
The PanAm Games in Santiago marked only his fourth UCI track event, but White arrived feeling strong after a month‑long road training block. Even so, he wasn’t expecting fireworks.
“I didn’t really have expectations. I was there to gain experience,” he says. But with seven laps to go in the scratch race, instinct took over. He dropped to the black line, tested an attack, and when no one followed, he committed fully. “I figured I’d give it everything - win or blow up trying.”
He didn’t blow up. He held off the bunch to take a stunning gold medal, delivered aboard his Handsling TR2evoP.
The rest of the championship brought highs and lows - a near‑miss in the points race, a crash in the omnium, and a narrow escape from another pile‑up in the elimination - but the overall takeaway was clear: he had exceeded every expectation.
Representing Bermuda
White remains one of Bermuda’s standout riders on both road and track. While he’s the island’s only track specialist at this level, he says the road scene is friendly, competitive, and mutually motivating. “We make each other better,” he says.
Joining Jakroo‑Handsling
White first applied to the team last year and impressed through the interview process. Now officially part of Jakroo‑Handsling, he’s looking forward to a packed calendar of UCI and British races, alongside national duties for Bermuda. His major target for 2026: the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
