An allroad bike is set up for mixed surfaces: quick on tarmac, composed on broken lanes and firm hardpack. Typical traits include room for wider tyres (often 28-35 mm or more) and stable handling. Materials vary – you’ll find carbon, aluminium and (less commonly) steel or titanium.
Handsling allroad builds use high-performance carbon fibre frames and are UK-assembled to your confirmed fit.
Pick A1R0evoG if you want range for rough UK lanes: aero-optimised T800 carbon, T47 BB, tyre clearance up to ~55 mm, and multiple mounts for practical setups. Choose CEXevo if you lean toward all-road/firm-gravel and cyclocross racing DNA: UCI-approved T800 carbon with up to ~40 mm tyres and a race-proven feel.
We’ll confirm the right frame during Remote Tailored Sizing.
It comes down to surface split.
- Allroad: road-first. Keeps road-bike pace on tarmac and stays composed on broken lanes and firm hardpack. Typically pairs a measured road position with moderately wider tyres for comfort and control.
- Gravel: off-road-first. Prioritises stability and traction on loose surfaces, with geometry and components chosen for rougher tracks and longer unpaved sections.
If most rides are paved with occasional firm links, our allroad builds are the better match. If you’re planning regular dirt and loose surfaces, our gravel bikes range – built with the same fit-first process – will suit you more.
Carbon enables more aerodynamic shaping, better stiffness-to-weight, and improved vibration damping than aluminium, which helps maintain speed and reduce road buzz on mixed surfaces. It also supports neat internal routing and seatpost shapes for clean builds.
Broadly, 30–32 mm works well for paved roads and rougher tarmac; 30–35 mm adds comfort and grip for backlanes and firm hardpack. Your ideal width depends on weight, terrain and preference; start conservative and adjust. The A1R0evoG accepts tyres up to ~55 mm (with appropriate wheels/clearance checks); CEXevo up to ~45 mm.
Most riders choose 2x for steady cadence and a wider usable range on rolling routes. 1x is simpler and works if your terrain and cadence targets suit the larger jumps.
