It's fast in racing, but also handles really well, which is important when I’m cornering in a criterium or road race.
Great quality frameset which is outstanding to ride. Speed & comfort rarely come together on a road bike but my A1R0evo has it mastered.
Stiff, nimble and really quick, yet more than comfortable... that frame is seriously top! All the set up was spot on; using 28’s tyres perfect for the gnarly Yorkshire tarmac
The bike is super smooth but also has really sharp handling and just feels fast.

A1R0evo vs A1R0evoS – which road bike for racing should I choose?
A1R0evo vs A1R0evoS – which road bike for racing should I choose?
If you want maximum speed-to-weight in the mountains, choose the A1R0evoS. It uses the same frame design as the A1R0evo but with a Toray T1100 lay-up that achieves the same stiffness with less material, resulting in lower weight. If you want balanced race versatility, pick the A1R0evo: a Toray T800 all-rounder that’s ideal for circuits, rolling road races and rougher surfaces. We can confirm the right option for your racing and fit during your build consultation.
What are the advantages of carbon fibre frames over aluminium for road racing?
What are the advantages of carbon fibre frames over aluminium for road racing?
For road race bikes, carbon fibre allows more aerodynamic tube shaping, better stiffness-to-weight, and improved vibration damping versus aluminium. That means cleaner airflow, more of your effort turning into speed, and less road buzz – helping you hold your race position longer.
What is the difference between road race bikes and endurance road bikes?
What is the difference between road race bikes and endurance road bikes?
Road race bike geometry puts you in a more aerodynamic position with sharper handling and higher frame stiffness – endurance road bikes prioritise comfort over long miles. Endurance builds often lean to wider tyres and comfort-focused components, while performance road bikes prioritise speed, precision and fast response.
1x vs 2x on a road bike for racing – which is better and why?
1x vs 2x on a road bike for racing – which is better and why?
Most road racing scenarios are best served by 2x because you get a wider usable range with smaller jumps between gears for improved cadence control. A 1x setup is simpler, but the larger steps between gears mean your chainring choice must closely match the course. In practice, choose 2x for mixed courses; consider 1x only if the route profile and your cadence targets make the gaps acceptable – our team can advise during your fitting consultation.
Do you offer Cycle to Work and finance options for performance road bikes?
