Remarkably, the 25-year-old Scot is in only her second season of racing and is already being tipped as star of the future. She put in an incredible performance on the steep cobbled climbs and technical descents of Lincoln GP, ably supported by her teammates.

Handsling Alba team manager Bob Lyons said: "Lauren has a very exciting future in the sport and is deserving of the plaudits from the cycling world.
"But today's victory was delivered by an outstanding team performance. All eight riders contributed to this victory, with each and every one of them riding out of their skins in delivering a race plan.
Handsling Alba now heads to the Czech Republic for the prestigious Tour de Feminin.
