It very much a super Sunday for Handsling riders with two elite race wins out of two.
First Charlotte Hodgkins-Byrne (below) won the Dave Peck Memorial Trophy in Surrey. The A1R0evo rider was part of small breakaway before launching a decisive attack on Staple Hill.
It was a great day for her DAS-Hutchinson-Brother team as they worked well to position Charlotte for victory and picked up the overall win in the British Team Cup Rd 2.
27-year-old Charlotte is in her first season with the team. She is a former Olympic rower and only switched to cycling in 2022. While not a pure climber, she is suited to punchy, rolling courses where she can use her power.
Meanwhile on the other side of the country at Oakenclough, Tammy Miller (below) crossed the line first from a two-up breakaway. It was a dominant performance by the DAS-Hutchinson-Brother team with Robyn Clay winning the sprint for third and Frankie Hall in fifth. The race was Round 2 of the Proper Northern Road Race Series.

These results underline the performance of the A1R0evo in race conditions. The aero frame is stiff and responsive under big efforts. But it also has comfort and sturdiness for big days in the saddle and for riding on rough terrain.
