Frankie Hall wins Otley GP on Handsling A1R0evo

Frankie Hall won the hugely prestigious Santini Women’s Otley Grand Prix in a two-up sprint after a stunning long distance breakaway on her Handsling A1R0evo road bike.

The DAS-Hutchinson-Brother rider beat Dannielle Watkinson to the line for victory in Round 1 of the elite UK National Circuit Series.

The two riders broke away at the half way point and stayed clear of the chasing pack to contest a close fought sprint.

Running through the Yorkshire village of Otley, the race is one of the most historic on the UK race calendar. Former winners include Mark Cavendish, Lizzie Deignan and Tom Pidcock.

This is the second year in the row that Handsling riders have won Otley GP following Sophie Lewis' victory in 2023 (below).

Frankie has been on excellent form recently following a big block of training in French Alps.

She finished a superb P10 in this month's Women's UK National Road Race, the only rider from a domestic team to finish in a top ten that featured former world, Olympic and national champions.

Speaking to VeloUK after her Otley win, she said: I'm really happy. I knew my legs were good. We had eight strong riders and a team plan. We wanted to take the win one way or another. This is the beginning of my road season almost. I've had a big training block and got some with some big races coming up to focus on."

Frankie rides a Handsling A1R0evo frame fitted with Shimano Ultegra groupset. Click here to customise your A1R0evo with a choice of 30 colours and a wide range of components.
