Handsling Bikes powers Alba’s 2026 ambitions
Fresh off its most successful season yet, the Handsling Alba Development Team heads into 2026 with a dynamic fourteen rider squad blending WorldTour experience, Olympic pedigree, and rising British talent.
The team’s 2025 highlights included Kate Richardson’s overall win at the Tour de Feminin and her National Circuit Race title, plus Lauren Dickson’s leap to FDJ–SUEZ; Alba’s first WorldTour graduate. With standout performances across Europe, the team proved its development model works.

Six new riders join the fold for 2026: Arabella Blackburn, Maddie Cooper, Anna Flynn, Grace Lister, Holly Ramsey, and Izzy Sharp. Sharp brings WorldTour experience from Lidl–Trek, while Blackburn and Lister add track power ahead of LA 2028. Cooper, a late-season stagiaire, earns a full contract after impressing with her work ethic and engine.
Eight riders return, including Richardson, Olympic medallist Neah Evans, and Madison world champion Madelaine Leech. The squad now features six British Cycling track athletes, balancing road ambitions with Olympic preparation.

Four riders depart, most notably Dickson, whose rise through Alba underscores the team’s success in nurturing talent.
With nearly 200 riders expressing interest, Alba’s 2026 roster reflects careful selection and strategic growth. “We’ve got riders who can win, riders who can learn, and riders who can do both,” says team manager Bob Lyons. For a more in-depth read, take a look at The British Continental's article.
