GB's Sophie Lewis stormed to a superb win in the Scratch Race of the UCI Track Champions League in Paris. Riding her Petrol Pink Handsling TR3evo, she broke clear with ten laps remaining to finish more than half a lap ahead of Katie Archibald and co.
The Champions League is a brand-new track competition that features short format racing across multiple international rounds. The league aims to make track cycling more accessible and more exciting than ever before.
Sophie features in the endurance rounds of the competition - the scratch and elimination races.
In the first round in Mallorca she finished 8th in the scratch race and 7th in the elimination, ahead of the likes of Laura Kenny and Katie Archibald. In round two in Berlin, she finished 9th in the scratch race and 12th in the elimination.
Then in Paris, she romped home to a win the scratch and finished 9th in the elimination. She had mid table finishes in the final two rounds at Lee Valley VeloPark in London to finish ninth overall in the endurance standings.
