Handsling road and track bikes are now available with the Walker Brothers range of carbon wheels.
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, the brand is well-known around the world, especially in track racing. For more than 10 years, they have designed and manufactured high-end carbon fibre wheels.
Elite cyclists using Walker Brothers wheels include Handsling-sponsored TR3evo rider Amber Joseph, gold medalist at the PamAmerican Track Championships.
Track
The UCI-approved Handsling TR3evo is now available with the full Walker Brothers track wheel range.
This includes the Ethereal Track Disc, the same wheel powering the Huub/Wattbike Test Team to their international victories. For sprinters, the disc can be paired with the Ethereal 5-Spoke Track Tubular, featuring off-set spokes for extra rigidity.
Spoked options for bunch events include the deep-section Viva Tubular Track Wheels. The carbon rims are hand built onto DT370 hubs with Sapim CX Ray bladed spokes. They are available in depths of 43, 60 and 90mm.
Road
The Wideboy Discbrake Wheelset is a tubeless ready option on the UCI-approved Handsling A1R0evo road bike.
The full UD carbon rim comes in depths of 34, 48 and 56mm depth and is available with three DT Swiss hub options: DT350, DT240, and DT180.
The Wideboy has a width of 27mm, which widens out to a maximum of almost 30mm. They have an angled four degree surface and are optimised for a 25mm tyre.
