A1R0evo: Our Flagship Carbon Endurance Road Bike
The A1R0evo brings the best of endurance road bikes to a custom build. The frame is manufactured using Toray T800 carbon that combines light weight with durability.
While stiff and aero, the A1R0evo is optimised for all-day endurance rides with a tapered seattube and narrow seatpost absorbing road vibration, plus clearance for wider 32mm tyres to aid comfort on rough surfaces. Backed by UCI approval and refined with racer feedback, it arrives assembled to your measurements and ready for all-day efforts.
Set the Fit, Chase the Miles
One position you trust – speed you can hold. Make it yours.
- Endurance control: composed handling on rough surfaces – ideal for long-distance cycling on UK roads.
- Power you can hold: oversized head tube, large down tube and full width BB86 shell keep responses crisp without harshness.
- Efficient pace: aero D-shaped tube profiles with integrated hidden cable routing help you maintain speed.
- Comfort headroom: refined carbon lay-up, a narrow D-shaped seatpost and clearance up to 32mm tyres reduce road buzz and improve comfort over long miles.

"A high-end, no-compromise road bike that delivers stiffness and comfort in equal measure." 9/10

Great quality frameset which is outstanding to ride. Speed & comfort rarely come together on a road bike but my A1R0evo has it mastered.
Stiff, nimble and really quick, yet more than comfortable... that frame is seriously top! All the set up was spot on; using 28’s tyres perfect for the gnarly Yorkshire tarmac
The bike is super smooth but also has really sharp handling and just feels fast.
A1R0evoS: Our Lightweight Endurance Road Bike
The A1R0evoS is our lightweight take on a long distance road bike. It keeps the A1R0evo’s proven geometry, but uses a more advanced T1100 carbon lay-up to achieve the same stiffness with less material. You feel it on long climbs and over rolling terrain – the same crisp, responsive feel, just with less weight to bring up to speed.
Ready for Your Next Big Day
Tell us the target; we’ll spec it to suit the course.
- Lighter at equal stiffness: T1100 lay-up achieves the same chassis stiffness with less material, so long climbs and steady tempo feel easier to hold.
- Same handling, less to haul: identical geometry/moulds preserve the A1R0evo’s composed handling; you just carry less weight.
- T1100 carbon lay-up: higher performance carbon fibre for weight savings at the same stiffness; same moulds and profiles as A1R0evo (aero tubes, integrated hidden routing, BB86).
- Everything else as per A1R0evo: UCI-approved, EPS internal moulding, asymmetric fork/chainstays, tested beyond ISO – hallmarks of a premium endurance road bike platform.
- Spec to the course: choose wheels/tyres with a bias toward long-distance comfort (e.g., 28-32 mm) while keeping the lighter frame advantage.
- Fit-first build: same Remote Tailored Sizing process; cockpit set for endurance posture, then your drivetrain and finish.
- Complete or frameset: assembled to your confirmed specification.
- Same support, lighter platform: direct access to our build team, clear spec sign-off, post-delivery advice – now on the weight-reduced chassis.
- Limited lifetime frame warranty and UK assembly as standard.

What are endurance road bikes for?
What are endurance road bikes for?
Endurance road bikes are set up for comfort and control over long distances. The focus is a sustainable fit (stack/reach and cockpit set to you), wider-volume tyres to cut road buzz, and component choices that you can depend on for hours. At Handsling, the same UCI-approved platforms as our flagship carbon road bikes and road bikes for racing are configured for endurance through Remote Tailored Sizing, tyre selection and wheel choice – so you can hold steady on the roads with less fatigue.
Why choose a carbon endurance road bike?
Why choose a carbon endurance road bike?
A carbon endurance road bike balances low weight, stiffness and vibration damping. Carbon’s moulded tube shapes allow clean aerodynamics and internal cable routing, while targeted lay-ups keep the chassis responsive without feeling harsh. Add wider-tyre clearance and you get a bike that holds speed, calms road buzz and remains comfortable for long-distance cycling.
Which Handsling endurance bike is best for me – the A1R0evo or A1R0evoS?
Which Handsling endurance bike is best for me – the A1R0evo or A1R0evoS?
Choose A1R0evo if you want a balanced all-rounder for endurance: efficient, composed handling with up to 32mm tyre clearance and a fit you can hold all day. Pick A1R0evoS if you want the same geometry and feel with less weight at equal stiffness (T1100 lay-up) to make long climbs and steady tempo that bit easier. We’ll confirm the right option for your routes and fit during Remote Tailored Sizing.
What is the difference between an endurance road bike and an all road bike?
What is the difference between an endurance road bike and an all road bike?
An endurance road bike prioritises long-mile comfort and predictable handling on tarmac, typically with 28–32 mm tyres and geometry you can maintain for hours. “All-road” usually shifts further toward mixed surfaces – often wider tyres again, and a setup aimed at rougher lanes or light gravel. If most rides are paved and you value sustained speed and fit sustainability, endurance is the better match.
Are long distance road bikes good for beginners?
Are long distance road bikes good for beginners?
Yes, if you’re new to road cycling, a long distance road bike’s stable handling and comfort-focused setup can make learning smoother. Wider tyres, a sensible cockpit height and a measured fit help you ride longer without fatigue. With Handsling, you can start with reliable components, then upgrade wheels or gearing later; the core carbon frame and fit remain the foundation.
Do you offer cycle to work and finance options for your endurance road bikes?
