I ride the CEXevo at elite level cyclocross in the UK National Trophy Series. The bikes are spot on. They're super light and stiff, handle well, and the colours are really cool. I've been trying different positions to maximise the performance of the bike and in the last national race I entered it really started to show. All in all the bike looks the part on the start line and is ready for anything you throw at it.
After picking up my new CEXevo one of my first rides was British Gravel Champs / Kings Cup. The bike was amazing; really inspired confidence with stability blended with tight handling. The course was mixed - from woodland to fire track to rocky to sand - and it took it all in its stride. I felt more confidence off road on the Handsling than I have felt on road in races with my road bike.
The bike is light, which helps over cyclocross hurdles, yet stiff enough for good power transfer in differing conditions and terrain. I feel comfortable and in control throughout races, which is all down to the frame. There is plenty of room for tyre clearance, which allows for both cyclocross and gravel tyres. This is what makes this bike so versatile. An all-round great bike that does everything I need it to.
I seem to have a long list of things that the Handsling team are helping out with - advice / adjustments / fitting / etc... literally nothing seems too much to ask. So in short - the whole team has been fantastic - at no point has this felt like a 'transaction' - I feel like I've got a 'family' who are as passionate about the sport as I am!
When I ride it on asphalt, I feel like I am on my road bike and when on gravel it feels as stable as a MTB. Cool!
Very positive experience highly recommend their service and bikes. Took time on my questions and excessive pondering.
Handsling CEXevo
Tough, Light and Durable.
The versatile, UCI approved Handsling CEXevo is tough, light and durable, ideal to cope with the rigours of cyclocross racing and gravel adventures. Designed in-house, the CEXevo frame is an evolution of the championship winning CEX. Improvements include higher grade carbon and changes to the layup used in both headtube and bottom bracket shell, resulting in a laterally stiffer frame while maintaining comfort levels.
The UCI-approved road frame is available in 17 limited edition colours.
Frame Production
Handsling owns the moulds used to make the CEXevo, allowing more control over the production process. Internal EPS moulds are used for increased carbon compaction, making the frame lighter, stiffer and more robust.
The CEXevo is made from high performance yet durable Toray T800 series carbon. The frame stiffness means it climbs well, while its light weight makes it easy to carry over obstacles or run with when the going gets really tough.
Frame weight: 870g for a 52cm frame. Front fork weight is 370g.
Clearance
The CEXevo has excellent tyre clearance both front and rear, and with 33mm cyclocross tyres fitted there is plenty of clearance to cope with even the muddiest of days. Maximum tyre size is 40mm, meaning plenty of room to fit gravel tyres.
Handling
Relaxed geometry and a long wheel base offers stability to carry the rider quickly and with more confidence down descents, and yet the CEXevo still climbs with speed and efficiency.
Comfort
Flexibility is built into the frame thanks to long, narrow seat stays, which result in improved comfort levels that leave the rider fresher over long rides and for that sprint to the finish line. This flexibility also aids rear wheel traction on loose ground.
Tailor-fitted
Bikes are assembled in Handsling's UK workshop according to rider size and spec, including high-end components from Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo, and your choice of wheels and finishing kit.
We offer Remote Tailored Sizing so you can get the best fit.
Sizing Guide
Finding the right size bike can be a bit overwhelming, but don't worry - we're here to help. The right size bike will ensure a comfortable and safe ride, so it's important to take some time to find the perfect fit.
Tailored Bike FittingDimensions
Carbon frames are manufactured in the Far East using moulds that are owned by Handsling. This provides full control over the production process and makes each and every model exclusive to the brand.
